Stitch From Stash 2015

I spotted the 2014 group late in the year and have read quite a few of the inspiring posts written by stitchers taking part so I have signed up for the 2015 SAL.

It is split into 2 this year so 2015 - A is January to June.

Purchases of new stash are limited to $25 per month as the aim is to use what I, like so many other stitchers, already have in their stash.  I am going to use £20 as the conversion figure as so much of what I buy is from the USA and

As I already have ambitious plans for what I want to stitch in 2015 I really shouldn't need to add to my stash so being part of this group should help to keep me on the straight and narrow.

As well as wanting to finish some of my WIPs and/or UFOs my new starts for 2015 include:

• At the Met by Mirabilia (part of the Mirabilia SAL organised by MrsMilkyBarKid)
• Zodiac Sampler SAL by CloudsFactory
• Story Time Sampler SAL by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery

I think I have all the supplies for these, a mix of newly purchased (the charts, the bead pack for the Mirabilia, some of the fabrics and specialist threads) and items from stash (DMC, some of the fabric and other threads) so I won't need to use my monthly stash budget to start these.

One Stitch from Stash project will be a kit I "discovered" while I was sorting out Christmas decorations.   I bought this kit years ago and saw it online somewhere this year.  I knew I had it but couldn't exactly remember where - it was in the classic "safe place".   

It's part of a series of samplers by Cobweb Designs and as Jane Austen is one of my all time favourite authors it's a must stitch.

I will probably swap out the aida for some linen (from stash of course)

I have "always" been a Beatles fan and fell in love with the Blackbird Designs range inspired by some of their songs.   Of course I would love to stitch them all but these 2 are top of the list (and already in my stash).

What else is lurking in my stash that I would love to stitch sooner rather than later?   Here's another Blackbird Design chart which cries out to be stitched on the honeycomb evenweave I have.

Keeping with the bee theme and the plan to use the honeycomb evenweave is this chart from Elizabeth's Designs which has the sampler stitched in 2 ways - as a standard "picture" shape and also as a long bell pull shape.  Decisions, decisions.  One of the reviewers on 123Stitch suggests stitching one in the Weeks Dye Works and the other in DMC.  The more I look at the more I want to stitch it as it combines 2 of my favourite themes - words and bees.

Moving from words to books (my other passion) I can't explain why this chart is still unstitched as I love everything about it - the subject, the colours, the style.  And I love the fact that all of the featured authors are female
